About Wildflower

Our Mission

Wildflower Retreat exists to guide women toward sustainable recovery by providing a safe, supportive living environment rooted in empowerment, connection, and personal growth. We believe every woman has the capacity to heal, reconnect with her true self, and build a meaningful life grounded in purpose and hope.

Our Philosophy

At Wildflower, recovery is about more than abstaining from substances — it is about becoming whole.

We believe women heal best in environments that are:

  • Safe and structured
  • Relational and supportive
  • Empowering rather than punitive
  • Grounded in accountability and compassion

Our approach honors each woman’s lived experience while encouraging responsibility, self-awareness, and forward movement. Recovery at Wildflower is process-oriented, not rushed. We meet women where they are while supporting growth toward independence and stability.

Why Wildflower Exists

Wildflower was created to be more than a place to stay. It is a home intentionally designed to support healing, dignity, and personal transformation. Many women in recovery need not only sobriety, but a space where they feel seen, supported, and empowered to rebuild their lives.

Wildflower exists to provide that space — one rooted in safety, community, and hope.

Our Founders

Kathy Whitmire is the founder and owner of Wildflower Retreat. Guided by her faith and a deep compassion for those in recovery, Kathy felt called to create a place where women could live in safety while healing and growing into healthier, more stable lives.

Kathy’s vision for Wildflower was rooted in the belief that recovery involves more than sobriety — it requires dignity, support, and a nurturing environment. She believes God placed it on her heart to build a home where women could experience restoration, develop independence, and rediscover hope for the future.

Through her faith-driven leadership and commitment to service, Kathy laid the foundation for Wildflower Retreat as a place of refuge, growth, and lasting transformation for women in recovery.

Erin Meadows serves as the house manager of Wildflower Retreat. With lived experience in recovery and a deep commitment to supporting women on their healing journeys, Erin plays a hands-on role in the daily life and culture of the home.

Her approach is grounded in empowerment, accountability, and connection. Erin believes recovery is not about perfection, but about learning how to live honestly, courageously, and with intention. Through thoughtful programming and supportive community, she is committed to helping women step into their true potential and build lives they no longer need to escape from.
